I'd tone down the texture a bit, firstly - I've tried experimenting with them and I can tell you firsthand that they don't do much for a picture - keep it on maybe 10-12% opacity: subtle.
Also, I'd get rid of the lines in the hair and use shadows to indicate it instead. There are a lot of tutorials on how to do that, I find that adding two new layers (blending modes: one on Screen and one on Multiply) and using a medium-grey brush conbined with a 1 or 2 pt smudge brush on 80 to 100% strength will do the trick. If that makes no sense to you whatsoever, I don't blame you. If you want me to shut the F up, I don't blame you either ;D

Where I disargree with you is on the texturing. The piece didn't click for me until I textured it. I think it took away the 'computer color'feel. (I actually hate computer coloring, and once swore I'd never use it, but cracking out the oil paints just takes too much time.)
