Thanks, I tried a lot of new photoshop trickery. The fave means a LOT coming from you.

I like it a lot, and I realise you're not necessarily (spelling?) looking for crits on this one, but I am incorrigible so here goes. Ignore if you like.

I'd tone down the texture a bit, firstly - I've tried experimenting with them and I can tell you firsthand that they don't do much for a picture - keep it on maybe 10-12% opacity: subtle.
Also, I'd get rid of the lines in the hair and use shadows to indicate it instead. There are a lot of tutorials on how to do that, I find that adding two new layers (blending modes: one on Screen and one on Multiply) and using a medium-grey brush conbined with a 1 or 2 pt smudge brush on 80 to 100% strength will do the trick. If that makes no sense to you whatsoever, I don't blame you. If you want me to shut the F up, I don't blame you either ;D

Thanks, I appreciate the comments. The hair lines are left over from comic book penciler mentality. I'm just now staring to treat Photoshop as a ';painting.' I did a version where the woman has dark hair and did it pretty much the way you said; I'm debating rather to post that version.
Where I disargree with you is on the texturing. The piece didn't click for me until I textured it. I think it took away the 'computer color'feel. (I actually hate computer coloring, and once swore I'd never use it, but cracking out the oil paints just takes too much time.)

Thanks for the fave.

All right, fair enough. You're the artist ^^. No, I just say it because I added a texture to Vey (actually the same one) and it didn't work for me. But then again, I have a different style from you.
And you're welcome.
